Outside Sales Representative – Freight Forwarding & Logistics

A leading global supply chain solutions and logistics services provider is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join their team. With established networks handling air, ocean, and land operations throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe, this company specializes in ocean transport and transpacific trading routes through strong carrier partnerships.

Position Overview

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for prospecting and closing new accounts while building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires individuals with a passion for sales, relationship‑building, and excellent communication skills. Multilingual candidates are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities and cultivate long‑term customer relationships
  • Build a customer base through cold calling, preparing quotes and bids, and delivering formal presentations to prospective clients
  • Promote comprehensive logistics services including Import/Export, Distribution & Warehousing, LTL Transportation, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage
  • Achieve monthly sales targets established by senior sales leadership
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Operations, Customer Service teams, and international offices
Required Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years of freight sales experience
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills; sales experience preferred
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently to meet productivity goals
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to coordinate across multiple departments and follow up with clients and prospects
  • CRM proficiency is a plus
  • Multilingual capabilities are a plus
Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
