About the RoleThe ideal candidate is a creative problem solver at heart who thrives in a team environment. You will help manage and oversee relationships with new and existing partners through high-touch networking, lead generation, and market research to cover our Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles territories.
Responsibilities- Establish and achieve sales quotas and goals.
- Own the entire proposal process: identify customer's needs, develop win themes, and produce complete proposals.
- Assess the competitive landscape and track key market trends and developments.
- Create target lists of prospective clients and engage with vigor.
- Provide administrative support as well as excellent customer service and smooth communications.
- Enter and maintain documentation of prospective client progress in the database using your organizational skills to create sales pipeline.
- Must possess the ability to thrive under pressure to meet hard deadlines.
- Exhibit exceptional business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Exceptional industry knowledge and/or the ability to quickly learn about the staffing industry and the business development function of the organization.
- Ability to interact with others in a salesperson capacity by demonstrating successful skills of persuasion communicating with people outside the company; representing the company to customer, the public, government, and other external sources.
- Requires well-developed presentation skills.
- Must be highly functional in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a progressively responsible sales position.
- Experience in a recruiting related industry a plus.
- Completion of formal sales training provided by external resources a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, Word, and Excel required.
- Knowledge of arithmetic, statistics and other applications.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills required.
- Demonstrated excellence in time management and organizational skills, attention to detail.
