Job Description:

Commercial HVAC Replacement Consultant / Sales

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC sales representative who has strong technical knowledge as well as true sales skills. Important traits: a true sense of fairness and ethics, the overwhelming desire to treat the client fairly, the overwhelming desire to treat the company fairly, a strong sense of drive (your success relies on this because this position will not be micromanaged), a compass that points true North when it comes to understanding the important aspects of sales (timeliness, client accountability, vigorous follow up, good data keeping and analysis).

Notice we did not say, “has a knack for talking to people”. As far we can tell is not a determinate of a successful salesperson, it’s just a tool in your toolbox. Opinion: A strong work ethic and relentless follow up practices trump all! Please bring those skills and let’s count the money together!

Duties:

• OWN THE MISSION:
• Our product is high quality indoor AIR, not a box on a roof
• Great client experiences are formed by the client’s perspective, not ours
• Networking and generating opportunities
• Working with service staff to identify opportunities
• Meeting the needs of client opportunities provided by the company to the consultant
• Listening to the client and collaborating consultatively regarding their HVAC needs
• Designing and offering solutions that deliver
• Estimate development (with inside support)
• Presenting and closing sales
• Client service after the sale
• History of owning and meeting personal and Team sales goals

Ideal

Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years inside sales support minimum
• 2 to 5 years outside sales support minimum

Examples of a person who’s not already “in the role” but that could transition into success in this role:

• Management experience. As an example, a Service Department Manager, or a Business Owner looking to sell a small HVAC shop, FYI: we would consider such a transaction for someone amazing, who is interested in striking a better work life balance)
• A mechanical engineer wanting to transition into a sales position (3 years plus design experience required)
