Providing SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe’s Outlets, seeking out customers to understand their needs and assisting in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.

Responsibilities
  • Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions.
  • Guide customers to store areas and walk them through projects when necessary.
  • Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Communicate information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s Outlet programs.
  • Provide prompt support to all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance.
  • Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental.
  • Cross‑functionally train in other areas of the Outlet.
  • Generate leads for Project Specialist Exterior (PSE) programs by actively engaging customers in their project needs.
  • Use store systems to prioritize loads, print pricing labels, look up items or item numbers for price and inventory information.
  • Down‑stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
  • Prepare merchandise in department of responsibility based on customer requirements/specifications.
  • Clean and safe stores: monitor merchandise entering and leaving the store entrances and exits and assist customers or associates who trigger the alarm.
  • Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection.
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain the cleanliness and organization of store and working areas.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, conduct daily safety reviews, note hazards, keep aisles clear, and secure doors and gates.
  • Operate store equipment such as Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, iPhone, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, pallet jacks, electric lifts, compactor baler, etc.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Assist PRO customers by walking them to the correct aisle and bay, loading product into the aisle and into vehicles for a fast “in and out” shopping experience.
  • Understand PRO Loyalty, PRO Credit, MSH, Volume Savings, and PRO Delivery programs; enroll customers using SMART phone and sales terminal.
  • Use point-of-sales terminals to process walk‑up, phone, email, and online orders; call vendors to verify product availability and cost.
  • Help customers have a positive shopping experience by neatly displaying up‑to‑date and accurate pricing and signage.
  • Use cash register to process sales transactions according to company guidelines.
  • Deliver excellent customer service during the checkout process, ensure customer satisfaction, and encourage return.
  • Complete freight and merchandising fulfillments; physically move stock delivered, schedule shipments, verify quality and accuracy of orders.
  • Process returns to the Distribution Centers and appropriately dispose/return items.
  • Coordinate and support deliveries from beginning to end, serving as the expert for answering questions and solving problems related to deliveries.
  • Inspect merchandise prior to loading and delivery, prepare merchandise and load for delivery, support planned delivery routes, verify invoices against items loaded, and assist with product connections or returns.
  • Inspect and clean interior and exterior areas (bathrooms, breakrooms, hallways, parking lots) as needed.
  • Keep staff and customers safe by walking the store to check for leaks, spills, unsafe displays, fix equipment and facilities, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
