Lead Range Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Range Attendant is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the driving range setup and the Range Attendants. This role will interact with guests and keep the flow of guests moving through the driving range to their respective courses while providing top-tier service.

• Training and overseeing range attendants on all aspects of their job duties.
• Providing hospitality and top-tier customer service to all guests on the range tee by offering directions, amenities, check-in times, etc., in order to maintain flow of the range.
• Creating and maintaining work schedules for the range staff.
• Developing a range schedule and managing placements of the range to provide the best guest experience, focusing on preventative visible wear and tear.
• Overseeing a maintenance schedule for all range equipment.
• Inspecting range station equipment for damage and coordinating repair and/or replacements.
• Working with other departments for any special needs for range such as maintenance, tournaments, clinics, and lessons.
• Performing general custodial duties.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Minimum Degree
  
  Required:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License Required

• Providing courteous and professional service to a diverse range of golf patrons.
• Skilled in leading, training, and coordinating a small team of part-time or seasonal staff.
• Ability to operate and maintain range equipment (ball picker, washer, etc.) and golf carts.
• Clear and effective communication with patrons, staff, and leadership.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform manual labor, including lifting heavy baskets of balls (up to 50+ lbs.).
• Resolving issues with customers or equipment in a prompt and respectful manner.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly walks and stands. Occasionally does computer work and lifts up to 50 lbs.

Seldom/never sits.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT
:

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
