JOB SUMMARYThe Sunnyside
* Retail Store Supervisor supports day‑to‑day dispensary operations in accordance with state law and Company standards. The role directs workflow, handles customer and employee escalations, reinforces team culture, and serves as an ambassador of the company’s mission to normalize, professionalize, and revolutionize cannabis.
- Execute store opening/closing procedures, including register prep, inventory reconciliation, and cash handling.
- Facilitate training, onboarding, and coaching of Lead Wellness Advisors and Wellness Advisors, focusing on selling and cross‑selling techniques.
- Provide real‑time coaching and performance feedback; document and manage employee relations issues.
- Develop daily rosters, break sheets, and delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth operation.
- Maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures, and state/local regulations.
- Investigate and resolve cash, POS, and product discrepancies; troubleshoot POS technical issues.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, verify marketing assets, and uphold a clean, safe environment for employees and customers.
- Carry responsibilities up to 50 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance) and stand or walk for extended periods.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of customer service experience.
- 1+ year of team leadership or mentoring experience (cannabis experience preferred).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical, product‑related information in a consultative manner.
- Advanced cannabis product knowledge and understanding of compliance standards.
