Job Description

American Greetings is a global leader in the Celebrations marketplace and seeks a Merchandiser to help people celebrate holidays and special moments. The role involves working independently across various retail locations, displaying, and maintaining inventory levels of celebration products such as greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, and plush items.

• Starting pay: $15.30 per hour, with increases during the first year.
• After 6 months: $16.20 per hour.
• After 1 year: $17.00 per hour.

Service the following retail locations: 103 W Polk St, Warsaw, MO; 1013 E Main St, Warsaw, MO; 811 W Main St, Cole Camp, MO; 549 US-65, Lincoln, MO; 26169 Highway 7, Edwards, MO. Weekly hours average 7 hours, increasing to about 13 hours during holidays.

Ideal candidate: available during daytime hours, especially Monday mornings. Availability for additional days and extended hours around major holidays is required.

• Service stores on your assigned route, merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying product within greeting card departments and other retail locations, and maintaining organized backroom areas.
• Communicate with management regarding service or schedule concerns.
• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment using effective time‑management and organizational skills.
• Build relationships with retail store associates and management during daylight hours.
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets, including minor fixture work and product assembly.
• Review and plan weekly service schedules using a company‑issued tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.

• At least 18 years old.
• English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to access multiple retail locations.
• Reliable internet for job updates.
• Technological competency to use the company tablet.
• Schedule flexibility to cover occasional weekends and days before/after major holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Work on sales floors and backstock rooms; push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 40 pounds. Stand, walk, stoop, squat, and use a step stool as needed. The position includes standing, walking, stooping, and squatting throughout the day. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
