Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organization, time management skills, and establish retailer relationships while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details

Starting pay is $15.00 - $17.00 depending on skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week. Average weekly hours are 6‑8 hours. Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    During holiday periods we need extra days and extended hours. You may be required to work on actual holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, which can include weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Participate in installations and tasks such as building/installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting sections. Usually notified two weeks in advance; may involve evenings or weekends.
  • Team vision:
    Support other merchandisers in the field organization as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job requiring high energy and urgency. You must push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
