Lead Event Specialist – Part Time () at Product Connections
OverviewThe Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, serve, demonstrate, intercept consumers, and sell products in a professional manner. The Associate handles event execution equipment and maintains a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Pay rate:
18.50 hourly
- Manage and maintain the equipment and supplies used for events to ensure they are clean and secured in the agreed upon area of the backroom.
- When a supervisor is absent, communicate with store management about upcoming events and the execution of past events.
- When a supervisor is absent, be the point person for all events conducted in the store and assist other Event Specialists with event kits, materials, and tools as needed.
- Assist the supervisor by providing leadership and knowledge to the team.
- Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
- Assist or perform all job responsibilities assigned to the demo program.
- Communicate the features and benefits of the product effectively.
- Prepare and serve food samples, including raw meats, produce and eggs, complying with food safety guidelines.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
- Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
- Complete all work assigned.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per company policy.
- Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Take digital photos of the perfect table setup to document success stories for clients.
- Education/Experience
:
High‑school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Computer Skills
:
Proficient use and navigation of personal computers and mobile devices using applications and internal systems. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
:
Food Safety Professional Certification, local food handler’s permit if required. - Physical Demands
:
Stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms (including overhead); talk and hear; visual ability to read instructions and perform responsibilities; stoop; kneel; crouch; climb (including a 6‑ft ladder); balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product;
prepare foods using raw products; be in contact with cleaning supplies. - Supervisory Responsibilities
