The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, serve, demonstrate, intercept consumers, and sell products in a professional manner. The Associate handles event execution equipment and maintains a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Pay rate:
18.50 hourly

• Manage and maintain the equipment and supplies used for events to ensure they are clean and secured in the agreed upon area of the backroom.
• When a supervisor is absent, communicate with store management about upcoming events and the execution of past events.
• When a supervisor is absent, be the point person for all events conducted in the store and assist other Event Specialists with event kits, materials, and tools as needed.
• Assist the supervisor by providing leadership and knowledge to the team.
• Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
• Assist or perform all job responsibilities assigned to the demo program.
• Communicate the features and benefits of the product effectively.
• Prepare and serve food samples, including raw meats, produce and eggs, complying with food safety guidelines.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Complete all work assigned.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per company policy.
• Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Take digital photos of the perfect table setup to document success stories for clients.

• Education/Experience
  :
  High‑school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer Skills
  :
  Proficient use and navigation of personal computers and mobile devices using applications and internal systems.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  :
  Food Safety Professional Certification, local food handler’s permit if required.
• Physical Demands
  :
  Stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms (including overhead); talk and hear; visual ability to read instructions and perform responsibilities; stoop; kneel; crouch; climb (including a 6‑ft ladder); balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product;
  
  prepare foods using raw products; be in contact with cleaning supplies.
• Supervisory Responsibilities

  Will serve as point of contact when supervisor is absent.

  Retail store environment with limited travel.

  Present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance; adhere to specific retailer dress code requirements.
• Language Skills
  :
  English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
