Full Time – Store Upper Level

Reports Directly To: Store Director, Assistant Store Director

Directs: Stock Crew Leader, Receiver, Stockers, Dairy/Frozen

Your role as a leader in the store will be to empower associates and solve problems through critical thinking.

Additional requirements are to maintain a well-stocked, well merchandised, faced store. Should the store director or the assistant store director both be out, you will assume their role in the store and help with all store operations.

Daily Operations

• Providing exceptional service to all clientele
• Becoming knowledgeable in the Store Director’s and Assistant Store Director’s position in the event of absence, sickness, vacation, etc., through training & updated policies
• Closing the store 4-5 nights per week
• Responsible for grocery, frozen, and dairy ordering
• Daily maintenance of backroom, grocery shelving, frozen, and dairy departments

Employees

• Properly training and developing employees to ensure a stable, qualified workforce by leading them and providing tools for success
• Scheduling of grocery department employees
• Directing stock crew
• Maintaining an honest ethical relationship with team members, vendors, and suppliers
• Maintaining a disciplined, non-offensive work environment using critical thinking skills, providing conflict resolution, and clear communication

Company Standards

• Communicating with the appropriate office management and staying educated and updated on all company policies and training procedures
• Maintaining records that comply with all government regulations and company policy
• Compliance with all company policies, including dress and name tag enforcement

Basic Functions and Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes occasionally and exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently, and 10/20 lbs. constantly while moving and handling materials and products. Must have dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to stand and move about various workstations. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items to facilitate movement of objects toward areas of use.

Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments used in food preparation and unpacking.

This is medium work requiring good, corrected vision, hearing, and the ability to lift, carry, stoop, kneel, stand, reach, push, and pull. Work may involve slippery floors.
