Overview

Sam Baker Hospitality located in the spectacular setting of Sam A Baker State Park is one of the state's most scenic locations. Sam Baker Hospitality offers quaint cabins for lodging guests, retail gift sales, cafe and watercraft rentals. This is a seasonal position with the anticipated first day of work in March and the last day estimated to be in November.

Summary

of Position

Responsible for assisting guests in a friendly and efficient manner in Company’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities
  • Cashiering; maintain (Point-of-Sales) POS operations including opening and closing procedures
  • Efficient and honest handling of all cash and credit cards adhering to Company procedures
  • Daily cleaning of restaurant, store rooms, and equipment, kitchen and public areas
  • Stock Grab n Go coolers and maintain beverage/ice cream station (if applicable)
  • Sandwich Preparation when needed
  • Understand Company’s ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas
  • Actively participate in creating a positive work environment, promoting team work
  • Adherence to Duties Checklist and other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
  • Be able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to meet and/or exceed customer expectations
  • Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people and will involve frequent bending, twisting, squatting and lifting up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
  • State Specific Food Handlers Certificate (if applicable)
Education and Experience

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

Six months food and beverage experience preferred
