We are looking for weekend only Cashiers to provide friendly efficient customer service and sales transactions in the Ebbetts Grill and/or our Pizza, food truck locations as part of the Bear Valley Mountain Resort. You will be required to follows company guidelines for cash handling procedures, maintain snack and soda areas for guests and ensure a steady supply of food amenity items and condiments, candy, and chips are available to our customers.

- Operate point of sales cash register system.
- Prepare deli sandwiches and other quick service food items.
- Restock food supplies and soda coolers when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary food service environment.
- Gather and clean food trays for customer use
- Clean small messes and spills in the cafeteria area
- Assist customers in navigation of the cafeteria
- Assist Food and Beverage Manager with daily preparation.
- Inform Manager when food items need to be ordered.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures.
- Count banks beginning and end of every shift.
- Follows opening and closing procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to communicate with customers in a positive, helpful, and friendly manner.
- Strong work ethic and with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain a clean working environment and personal appearance.
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Weather, snow conditions and the number of guests play a large role intheworkscheduling of Bear Valley employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week,including weekends and holidays. During busy periods – especially the holiday periods in December andthemonthsof
January and
February–youmaybeexpectedtoworksix(6) daysa week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arriveatyourdesignatedworkstationat the scheduled time.
Keep in mind that you will oftenberequiredtodriveonhilly,snowpacked, and icy road.
Atanytimeduringtheskiseason,Bear Valleyemployeesareoftenrequiredtoperformtheir tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
UniformsA professional appearance at Bear Valley is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. This uniform is for work hours ONLY, no exceptions.
You will be required to provide some items as part of your job.
The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Bear Valley logo while on shift.
The skiing/riding employee represents a model for safe skiing for both the guest and fellow employees. You are required to be aware of all safe skiing procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies of the mountain.
