- Lead and contribute to projects modeling human behavior with AI, leveraging rich, multi‑modal datasets such as mobility trajectories, surveys, interviews, and health outcomes.
- Develop scalable societal simulations and robust validation methodologies.
- Examine the impacts of generative AI on health and well‑being, from individual to community levels.
- Mentor junior students and assist in lab management.
- Work closely with PI Serina Chang and engage with a collaborative, interdisciplinary research community.
- A PhD degree (or equivalent international degree), or be enrolled in a PhD program at the time of application (degree required by start date).
- A record of publications in top computer science or general science journals.
- Experience with training and evaluating generative AI models.
- Skills in handling large‑scale, complex datasets (e.g., mobility or health data).
- Interest and experience in interdisciplinary research, particularly computational social science or AI for health.
- Commitment to mentorship and collaborative research.
- A 2‑year postdoctoral commitment is preferred, though 1‑year terms will be considered.
