JOBLOCATION
This is an ON-SITE position located in Wilton, California.
COMPENSATION$20.40 - $29.75 per hour, Non-Exempt, with a discretionary bonus of up to 10%.

ABOUTTHE ROLE
Join Sensei Ag as our next Research & Development (R&D) Technician! In this role, you will assist the R&D Program Lead, Associates and other Techs in the implementation of R&D trials in a CEA environment. Trials range from variety testing, recipe generation & optimization to pre-commercial testing before crops are put into production. The position will assist in irrigation, fertilization, crop maintenance, seeding, trial set up and take down, data collection in a greenhouse and lab environment as well as harvesting activities.
WHATYOU WILL DO
- Actively participate in data collection by accurately recording key points of data as needed using electronic equipment.
- Monitor key plant and environmental variables to ensure success of trials.
- Participate in all growing activities in a greenhouse to include seeding, pruning, pollinations, fertilizations, transplanting, harvesting, clean up and pest control activities.
- Assist in monitoring and calibrating control devices within the greenhouse.
- Ensure proper hygiene and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a greenhouse environment or R&D operation.
- Ability to accurately record data and work with database type programs.
- Ability to work in an environment that can be hot and humid for extended periods of time.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to learn and grow while providing flexible team support.
- A QAL or QAC license.
- The experience to make presentations using PowerPoint or equivalent software.
- Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture or a related discipline.
- Minimal to none.
