Data Research Analyst Basic Information

• Position: Data Research Analyst (Financial Market Data in Korea, HK, and Japan)

Stone Bench Partners is a Singapore-based, Investment Research firm. We specialize in providing company/sector research based on quantitative data analysis for the equity capital market in Asia, focusing on the Korean market. We also support deal sourcing for mezzanine and private companies (late stage, pre-IPO) in Korea for the investors in Asia. We are looking for a Research Data Analyst to support Investment research and the data management system set-up by leveraging AI-based IT systems.

Your primary goal is to maximize efficiency in Research and Operations using AI/Tech, and to support our multi-market investment strategies.

• Leverage AI tools to automate data gathering, market monitoring, and reporting processes.
• Build and maintain systems that extract high-quality insights from raw market data.
• Analyze Deep-Tech sectors (AI, Energy, Robotics, Biotech, Space) in Korea, China (Hong Kong listing), and Japan.

• Research Korea (main), Hong Kong, and Japan IPO/Pre-IPO companies.
• Participate in IR meetings and draft investment memos to prepare a research report for investment managers in Asia.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience (ECM, Equity Research, Equity Sales, Equity Investment, Event-Driven Investment) in Financial Companies or related research firms.
• Major in Data Analysis or Computer Science is strongly preferred.
• Must be proficient in IT development using AI (e.g., Python, LLM integration, Data Scraping/Automation).
• Language: Fluent in Korean (Must. This position should analyse Korean Stocks and support the IR meeting of Korean companies) and English.
