Quality Control Supervisor will manage contractor employees and perform direct oversight of Vegetation Management work conducted on Electric Distribution or Transmission systems. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS.
Essential Functions- Ensure record accuracy of information by Contractor employee(s).
- Be responsible for reviewing and communicating environmental requirements to each Contractor employee(s) location.
- On a daily basis, be responsible for including but not limited to checking in with teams, serving as the primary contact for Contractor employee(s) safety reporting, tracking daily resource and production data, communicating with client PG&E Representative or Tree Partner, and assisting with communicating messaging from Operations.
- On a minimal weekly basis or as required, be responsible for including but not limited to conducting safety briefs / team check‑ins, performing safety audits, performing desktop reviews of work packages, preparing index maps for project patrols, resolving access refusals, assigning work to Quality Control staff, field validation for Quality Control findings, and reviewing any completed index maps.
- On a minimal monthly basis or as required, be responsible for including but not limited to conducting QC/QA safety audits, performing/cataloguing QC/QA field audits, conducting monthly operation/safety meetings and reviewing project completion timelines for the quarter.
- Provide necessary information to Contractor employee(s) including but not limited to goals, schedule, and pre‑planning report.
- As directed by a PG&E representative, maintain a working relationship with all public agencies including but not limited to Caltrans, Cal Fire, USFS, and BLM.
- Maintain a working relationship with PG&E’s Pre‑inspection and Tree Crew contractors to assist in escalated work such as customer complaints.
- Acknowledge and participate in OMS H&S programs.
- Duty includes completing H&S training.
- Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Forestry, Biology, Horticulture, Utility Line Clearance or other job‑related discipline or equivalent experience; and
- Four (4) years of job‑related experience with at least two (2) years’ experience in a leadership role, as a team leader or project leader,
- A Registered Professional Forester with two (2) years of experience in Utility Vegetation Management and/or Quality Oversight, or
- Has not performed VM execution work for any of the Quality Control programs being verified within one year.
- Certified Arborist (CA) from the International Society of Arborists with a Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) certificate.
- Encountering Damaged OH Lines (SAFE-6100
WBT), working knowledge of QA/QC, computer training (e.g., completion of forms, uploading of documents, accessing GIS) – must be completed within one month of start date. - Quality Control profiled training with the applicable timelines as directed by PG&E.
- Required to maintain a Class C driver’s license, including participation in Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN) with DMV.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Conduct a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
- Approval by Client Representative.
Environmental Factors:
Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on/walk on slippery or uneven and potentially mountainous terrain. Noise level is usually moderate. Physical Demands:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to perform tasks during a typical 8+ hour workday.
