Position: QUALITY ENGINEER I
Location: California

Summary

Primary responsibility of a Quality Engineer is to ensure standards are established, achieved, and maintained to meet the requirements for the Company’s products and processes. This will include working in cross‑functional teams and with suppliers to determine process and product capabilities, establishing control and inspection plans, supplier and internal audits, and generating detailed reports and documentation related to quality output including issuance, investigation, review, and closure of corrective actions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform internal and supports supplier audits in accordance with published schedules and procedures or specifications.
  • Review and follow up on corrective action submittals and close acceptable corrective actions upon final approval, escalates to management as necessary any questionable corrective actions.
  • Review engineering drawings for accuracy following QA procedures.
  • Initiate and/or revise Quality Assurance manual, procedures, and work instructions as directed by the Director of Quality Assurance.
  • Update and mail supplier quality and delivery rating reports, as required.
  • Advise the Director of Quality Assurance of any possible quality concerns/ incidents as required.
  • Perform AS9100 awareness training and implements processes as assigned by Management.
  • Assist in on‑site audits from customers and/or regulatory bodies.
  • Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.
  • Required to bring any known or suspected nonconformances for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
