Join the MLA Move Language Ahead team as an Activity Leader and embark on an extraordinary summer adventure filled with joy, cultural exchange, and the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of international students.

As a full‑time, seasonal position running from mid‑June to mid‑August, you’ll be at the heart of our immersive language program, working closely with the Activity Manager, Center Administrator, and Center Director to create a dynamic and unforgettable experience for our students. Your role goes beyond ensuring safety; it’s about fostering excitement and connection among a diverse group of international students. Your days will be filled with creativity as you design and lead engaging activities—afternoon sports, evening dance parties—and guide students on local and regional excursions.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on flexibility, cares deeply about making a positive difference, and is genuinely excited to work with high‑school students. Your energetic presence will be key as you guide students to explore attractions and create memories that last for life. Position Overview

Schedule

Activity Leaders are required to work a flexible schedule to meet program demands, including day, night, and weekend shifts. Shifts range from 2 hours on campus to 12‑14 hours on tour.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Positive and enthusiastic outlook

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Previous experience as a college tour guide, resident advisor, or team sports player
  • Knowledge of the city and tourist attractions
  • Experience training or working in the sport, theater, or hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of the rules and organization of one or more sports or games
  • Interest and ability to organize activities such as drama, arts & crafts, talent shows for teenagers
Key Position Accountabilities
  • Provide guided tours upon group arrival, familiarizing and educating guests
  • Ensure adequate preparation and set‑up for on‑/off‑site activities and excursions
  • Lead, supervise, motivate, and engage students on activities and excursions
  • Proactively encourage participation in planned activities day and evening
  • Adhere to all risk assessments
  • Assist in organizing and preparing a wide range of activities, including pastoral duties
  • Participate in, supervise, and lead all activities, including sports, karaoke, disco nights, etc.
  • Establish accurate meeting locations and times, effectively communicating to guests
Welfare and Safeguarding
  • Take responsibility for students under your charge, ensuring physical and moral welfare
  • Check all students are accounted for during activities and excursions
