Landscaper

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces, ensuring plant health, and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the property

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other team members
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions
• Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assists in maintaining all outdoor cosmetic items in the casino.
• Mow, edge, and fertilize lawns.
• Weed and mulch landscape beds.
• Maintenance of sprinklers and timers systems.
• Trim small trees, hedges, and shrubs.
• Remove unwanted, dead, or damaged trees.
• Plant shrubs, flowers, and trees.
• Water gardens, lawns, and landscapes.
• Monitor and maintain plant health.
• Apply fertilizers and other plant care products.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
• Monitors workload and advises supervisor of work overload.
• Assists engineering staff in repairs.
• Maintains a neat, clean and organized work area in the engineering shop.
• Prepares daily work forms.
• Operates landscaping equipment, power sweeper and high pressure washer.
• Responds to maintenance requests and house calls.
• Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
• Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company.
• Keeps up to date with new landscape products and ideas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
