About the Position
Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine MO
Join a dynamic healthcare team committed to serving our Veterans and communities by providing essential general medicine services across Missouri. As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine, you will play a vital role in conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, supporting our nation's heroes with professionalism and care. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in a flexible, PRN capacity, making a meaningful impact while maintaining control over your schedule.
Required Skills
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri
Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields
Ability to perform interview-based assessments and physical evaluations
Strong documentation and report-writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of compensation and pension exam protocols is preferred
Nice to Have Skills
Experience conducting VA disability examinations
Background in orthopedic assessments or musculoskeletal evaluations
Familiarity with VA or military healthcare procedures
Additional certifications related to veteran health services
Preferred
Education and Experience
Master’s or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine
Prior experience in healthcare assessments or evaluations highly desirable
Other Requirements
Must own and operate a suitable office location within a 50-mile radius of assigned sites
Ability to work on a PRN basis, with flexibility for half-day or full-day shifts
Willingness to undergo quick credentialing and onboarding process
Must adhere to all federal and state licensure, certification, and telehealth regulations
No travel reimbursement included; local candidates preferred
Certifications in CPR and any state-specific nurse practitioner credentials required
