About the Position

Job Title:

Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine MO

Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine, providing essential services to Veterans nationwide.

This role offers flexible, part-time opportunities to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, supporting our nation's heroes while maintaining a work schedule that fits your lifestyle. Your expertise will directly impact Veterans' lives through interviews and physical assessments, all within a structured, supportive environment committed to your success.

Required Skills:

Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri or able to obtain one promptly

Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields

Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently in a professional office setting

Attention to detail in documentation and report submission

Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience with Compensation & Pension evaluations or military-related assessments

Certification in occupational health or related specialties

Familiarity with Veterans Affairs (VA) procedures and requirements

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing or related healthcare field

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or a related specialty

Experience performing non-treatment, interview-based assessments is advantageous

Other Requirements:

Own or have access to a private office within a 50-mile radius of designated locations in Missouri (Cape Girardeau, St. Joseph, Mountain Grove, Butler, Farmington, Licking, Sedalia, Poplar Bluff, Rolla, St. Louis, Kennet)

Willingness to work on a PRN, ongoing basis, with flexible half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts

Ability to complete exams, submit accurate reports, including addendums, within specified time frames

Local candidates only; travel is included in the pay rates

No prescribing privileges or treatment responsibilities required
