* Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.
* ACLS, PALS, TNCC, STABLE and BLS certification.
* Provides professional nursing care to the Medical Surgical, and Emergency room departments.
* Assists physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
* Administers medications per physician order.
* Performs other therapeutic measures either per physician order or as an independent nursing function.
* Observes, records and reports as appropriate the symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
* Provides patient education on illness management, disease prevention, and health promotion.
* Communicates with physicians, Mid-level Providers, Nurse Manager, co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
* Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
* Able to perform general nursing duties in all nursing departments with adequate supervision.
* Able to respond to on-call situations and is expected to be available for on-call schedules. If requested, must be willing to take low census.
