Base pay range: $31.01/hr - $50.69/hr

Open in 2007, Progress West Hospital is BJC Health Care’s newest hospital in St. Charles County, featuring modern private rooms and 24‑hour emergency services, with surgical and pediatric care.

Under the direction of the manager, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a unit on a designated shift; performs direct patient care as needed and functions as a clinical resource to nursing and support staff.

• Participates in professional development.
• Promotes patient and family centered care; educates patients and families on managing illness and medication administration.
• Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provides unit leadership for a defined period using critical thinking, assessment and evaluation skills.
• Evaluates patient response and modifies plan of care throughout the stay.

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 2‑5 years of nursing experience; 2‑5 years of clinical experience.
• RN license.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Experience in medical/surgical or charge nurse leadership.
• Knowledge of BJC RN Career Ladder.
