Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring three years of critical care experience and active MO or compact RN licensure.

• Work in the ICU and PCU units within an acute care hospital setting
• ICU unit features 18 beds, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in PCU and lower ratios in ICU
• Patient population includes cardiac patients and stroke cases, with frequent use of vasoactive drips
• Unit is designated as a stroke center
• Night shifts with 12-hour shifts scheduled as 7p-7a, including weekend rotation
• Expected to float to all units within the hospital as needed
• Uses MEDITECH EMR; prior experience with MEDITECH is highly preferred
• Must be able to work nights and every other weekend
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Assignment duration is 10 weeks
• Clinical environment involves both ICU and PCU responsibilities

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years ICU experience required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC are required
• Ability to manage cardiac patients, vasoactive drips, and acute stroke cases
• Willingness to float to other units as staffing needs dictate
