Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is actively recruiting for a permanent Telemetry Clinical Nurse Manager position based in Van Nuys, CA.
This position is full-time and permanent, working day shifts Monday through Friday at a 350-bed facility in Van Nuys, CA.
The current compensation range for this role is between $135,000 to $165,000 annually, with potential for adjustment depending on qualifications. Detailed information regarding the benefits package will be made available during the preliminary interview discussions.
Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Manager will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care is provided. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including staffing, training, and budgeting.
Essential Functions:
Leadership & Team Management
Manage and supervise a team of nurses, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Provide leadership and support to the nursing team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Mentor and guide staff, promoting fiscal responsibility and professional development.
Mentor and support staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among the nursing staff.
Oversee scheduling, resource availability, and staff assignments to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient patient care and staff performance.
Patient Care & Clinical Collaboration
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Act as a patient advocate, emphasizing sensitivity and privacy in patient care.
Champion a positive patient experience, ensuring high standards of care and safety.
Facilitate clear communication between patients, families, staff, and physicians.
Quality Improvement & Patient Outcomes
Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Lead performance improvement initiatives and participate in quality assurance activities.
Monitor nurse-sensitive indicators and implement strategies to improve outcomes.
Analyze data for quality projects, applying findings to improve patient care processes.
Participate in quality initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Policy, Compliance & Regulation
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Develop and revise policies and procedures to enhance care quality and safety.
Training, Education & Development
Identify staff educational needs and provide relevant training.
Facilitate staff adaptation to new technologies and documentation tools.
Strategic & Organizational Contribution
Manage departmental resources and budget effectively.
Participate in hospital committees and contribute to strategic planning.
Support the mission, vision, and values of the nursing profession and the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing highly preferred. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Minimum three years of acute care clinical nursing experience required.
At least one year of management or supervisory experience required.
Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
