Critical Care Nurse Educator – ICU / Stepdown located at Corona Regional Medical Center, Corona, CA
Full-time, day shift position.
ResponsibilitiesNurse Educator works with the team to provide high quality and evidence-based practice to all clinical and non-clinical staff at Corona Regional Medical Center. This role includes policy and procedure development, implementation of new skills, equipment, and processes; competency validation completion for all disciplines; onboarding new team members in all areas; conduct training for Nurse Residency, Preceptor Workshop, CNA Workshops, Critical Care Orientation Series, and ICU/SD New to Specialty Programs.
The Educator attends departmental meetings as needed and coordinates with various clinical departments to manage projects.
- Must have an understanding and knowledge of educational techniques and principles of adult learning.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, leadership and ancillary department staff.
- Must generate enthusiasm for learning and professional growth among employees.
- Must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work with a variation of hours to provide education to all the various clinical shifts in all departments.
- Preferred knowledge in working with PowerPoint, Excel, email and the electronic medical record.
- Five years of full-time experience as a licensed Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.
- Preferred experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the acute care setting.
- BSN Required
- Master’s Degree Preferred
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of California.
- Current BLS (CPR) required through the American Heart Association.
