Critical Care Nurse Educator – ICU / Stepdown located at Corona Regional Medical Center, Corona, CA

Full-time, day shift position.

Nurse Educator works with the team to provide high quality and evidence-based practice to all clinical and non-clinical staff at Corona Regional Medical Center. This role includes policy and procedure development, implementation of new skills, equipment, and processes; competency validation completion for all disciplines; onboarding new team members in all areas; conduct training for Nurse Residency, Preceptor Workshop, CNA Workshops, Critical Care Orientation Series, and ICU/SD New to Specialty Programs.

The Educator attends departmental meetings as needed and coordinates with various clinical departments to manage projects.

• Must have an understanding and knowledge of educational techniques and principles of adult learning.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, leadership and ancillary department staff.
• Must generate enthusiasm for learning and professional growth among employees.
• Must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work with a variation of hours to provide education to all the various clinical shifts in all departments.
• Preferred knowledge in working with PowerPoint, Excel, email and the electronic medical record.

• Five years of full-time experience as a licensed Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.
• Preferred experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the acute care setting.

• BSN Required
• Master’s Degree Preferred

• Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of California.
• Current BLS (CPR) required through the American Heart Association.
