The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The CNA performs patient care activities within the limits of the position, does not administer medications or therapy, and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Duties are carried out in a manner consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Other related duties may be assigned as requested.

• Education and Training:
  High school graduate or equivalent preferred; certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state; current BLS certification required.
• Experience:
  
  None required; a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
