Volunteer Social Media Manager (AI‑Enabled)Organization: Women of Color On The Move (WOCOTM)
Location: Remote
Commitment: 5–10 hours/week
Reports to: Communications Team/CTO/VPT
About WOCOTMWoman of Color On The Move (WOCOTM) is a global nonprofit dedicated to empowering women, girls, families, and communities through advocacy, leadership development, education, and justice‑centered initiatives. Our digital storytelling is essential to raising awareness, engaging supporters, and amplifying the voices of those we serve.
Position OverviewThe AI‑Enabled Social Media Manager will oversee WOCOTM’s social media strategy across platforms, using AI‑supported tools to plan, create, schedule, and analyze content. This role will help translate WOCOTM’s mission into compelling visuals, stories, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage WOCOTM’s social media calendar across all platforms.
- Use AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, Canva AI, Adobe AI, ChatGPT, etc.) to:
- Draft captions, posts, newsletters, and short‑form content
- Create graphics, videos, and templates
- Automate scheduling and engagement
- Analyze engagement metrics and generate insights
- Publish mission‑aligned content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, Tik Tok, X, You Tube).
- Collaborate with Programs, Communications, and Digital Media teams to highlight campaigns, events, and impact stories.
- Respond to comments/messages and maintain a respectful, positive digital presence.
- Stay updated on trends related to women's empowerment, nonprofit advocacy, and global social issues.
- Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and trauma‑informed communication.
- Protect the dignity, confidentiality, and rights of individuals featured in content.
- Experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or communications.
- Comfortable using AI tools to enhance creativity, efficiency, and analytics.
- Strong visual storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Express, Meta Business Suite, or scheduling tools.
- Ability to manage multiple platforms and track engagement performance.
- Passion for WOCOTM’s mission and a commitment to culturally respectful, empowering storytelling.
- A portfolio of high‑impact social media campaigns.
- Real‑world experience using AI in communications and digital media.
- Leadership opportunities in online engagement at a global nonprofit.
- Letters of recommendation and recognition for service.
- The ability to shape WOCOTM’s digital voice and strengthen its global reach.
