Director of Family Ministries

Overview

PURPOSE:

To provide leadership to Forest Home's Family Camp Program, overseeing all aspects of the Program.

• Plans, organizes, and directs Forest Home's Family Camp
• Creates a best in class Family Camp Program, with focus on gatherings, activities, traditions, meals, and all programmatic elements
• Works closely with Reservations and Marketing teams to develop and implement strategies for strengthening attendance and church partnerships
• Oversees day to day operation during program season
• Develops and maintains communication/relationships with department leaders
• Oversee recruiting, hiring, training, supervision and evaluation for Family Camp staff
• Directs the preparation of the short-term and long-range plans and budgets
• Idenitfies and contracts all Speakers, Worship Leaders, and Hosts
• Evaluates the results of the overall operations of the Family Camp program on a regular, systematic basis and reports these results to the Senior Director
• Accounts for the overall safety and security procedures for Family Camp program staff, campers and counselors, visitors and facilities
• Actively supports and participates in staff spiritual life activities
• Performs other tasks/duties as assigned
