Overview
The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in promoting Parks programs, events, facilities, and tourism-focused initiatives through strategic, engaging marketing efforts.
What are the Qualifications to Be Considered?- A Bachelor0s Degree from an institution of higher learning accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through one of its regional accrediting agencies is required; the primary focus of education must be in Marketing, Sport Marketing, Communications, Business, or a closely related field.
- Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in marketing.
- Proficiency with marketing and design tools
, including Google Analytics and platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva. - Youll need to be at least 18, have a valid drivers license, and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
While not required, the following skills, experience, and training can help set you apart from other applicants:
- Direct experience in managing social media platforms for a business or organization.
- Experience with community sponsorship and relations.

Starting hourly wage: $22.13 per hour and will increase to $23.02 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

- Tell the Parks & Recreation story through digital, social, print, and event channels.
- Turn promotions into participation and revenue for programs and facilities.
- Keep marketing on track with a smart, organized annual calendar.
