Overview
Assistant Mill Operator
Location: Mer Rouge, LA
Pay: $1300-$1500/Week
Schedule: 12-hour shifts- 7 days, 7 nights, then 1 week off
- Assist the Mill Operator with daily production tasks
- Pull product samples for quality checks
- Operate and monitor mill equipment
- Flip and maintain rollers
- Assist with electrical panel checks
- Grease rollers and moving parts
- Monitor gauges and record readings
- Check incoming trucks and weight scales
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Climb stairs and ladders as needed
- Frequent stooping, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Previous industrial, mechanical, or mill experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
