Job Summary
The Picker / Packer / Shipper is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures that finished goods are picked, inspected, labeled, packed, and shipped according to company standards while maintaining high levels of accuracy, organization, and safety.
This position requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines while interacting effectively with multiple departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-performance environment and takes pride in delivering accurate shipments that support customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment & Shipping Accuracy
- Pick products accurately according to order requirements.
- Perform quality checks prior to packing and shipping.
- Label, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
- Verify product types and quantities against order documentation.
- Ensure serial numbers match corresponding products.
- Minimize processing time through organized picking and packing.
- Physically inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Report discrepancies or defects to Department Head immediately.
- Inspect products for visible defects or damage.
- Verify labeling accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards.
- Replace defective or incorrect items before shipment.
- Conduct frequent checks to maintain shipment integrity.
- Utilize inventory software to create, track, and reconcile shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation.
- Assist in reconciling discrepancies within inventory systems.
- Identify and resolve order fulfillment errors proactively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Handle multiple priorities and urgent orders simultaneously.
- Collaborate with Uppers, Lowers, Sales, and Production departments.
- Take initiative to identify process improvements.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior shipping experience helpful but not required
- On-the-job training provided
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal oversight
- Team player with a positive attitude and solid interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, sort, check, count, and verify numbers accurately.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to detect and report problems effectively.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, inventory systems).
- Must successfully complete the 90-day probationary period.
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse experience.
- Experience with shipping software or inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with serialized product tracking.
- Experience working in a regulated or quality-controlled environment.
- This job is operated in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Regular lifting, carrying, bending, and moving materials (up to 60 lbs).
- Manual dexterity for labeling and packing.
- Visual acuity to inspect labels, serial numbers, and product condition.
- Fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse setting.
- The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
- Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts.
- Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to focus on fine print.
- Safety protocols must be followed at all times.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas.
