Manufacturing Production, Operations Engineer
Operator Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust machines and equipment to produce a good quality product. Examples include punch press, straightener, feed machine, press brake, furnace, crane, forklift, conveyor, cutting torch, and other departmental equipment.
- Perform processes such as inspecting, gauging, counting, heating, blanking, perforating, shearing, forming, sorting, and stacking.
- Read and interpret drawings, routing sheets, and use calipers, gauge, measuring devices, and perform SPC as required.
- Conduct visual inspections, separate parts, record production, record scrap, keep required production records, and perform other necessary operations.
- Maintain machines, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Ability to sit and/or stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of eight hours.
- Ability to walk, hear, see, and have full use of both hands.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and from waist to floor.
- Ability to work on a platform.
- Ability to lift 65 lbs. with another person and continuously handle it for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to load 80 lbs. with the help of another person onto a die cart and then transport it.
- Ability to push and/or pull 415 lbs. a distance of 2 feet.
- These physical requirements are generalities and work may occasionally exceed the specified levels.
