Directs and coordinates activities of Production Department in processing materials, manufacturing and maintaining product uniformity and controlling cost within safety and environmental standards while adhering to company policies and industry regulations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

• Lead the plant Production Department to produce a high-quality product and meet or exceed production and efficiency goals including but not limited to equipment production rates, energy conservation, power and heat consumption targets, minimizing emission of greenhouse gases, and increasing profitability of the Company.

Member of the Energy Management Team NRG which is responsible for developing and structuring a program committed to using energy in the most cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner possible.

Communicates plant/company goals to department employees in a clear and timely manner.

Provides leadership to department employees by directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating as the situation requires. Resolves worker grievances with the assistance of the Human Resources department.

Serves as a role model in the areas of leadership, teamwork, customer focus, continuous improvement, safety, and environmental stewardship to ensure alignment with the company’s vision and critical success factors.

Builds and maintain partnerships between plant departments and company peer groups.

Participates in business plan development and financial budget.

Establishes and defines short-term objectives for the department with logical sequenced action plans. Formulates or adjusts policy, anticipates problems and revises plans to account for changed circumstances.

Plans long-term (strategic) objectives and plant operational improvement projects preparing specifications and ensuring component parts fit overall project design.

Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.

Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.

Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing.

Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational and manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

Develops or revises standard operational procedures and working practices.

Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.

Solves problems creatively when dealing with the needs of customers and internal departments.
