Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Process Technician - Injection Molding to join our manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting injection molding machines to ensure efficient and consistent production of high-quality plastic parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate injection molding machines and related equipment.
- Start up, shut down, and troubleshoot molding processes to meet production and quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings, molds, temperatures, pressures, and cycle times.
- Monitor part quality and identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain proper documentation of machine settings and process parameters.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure mold and equipment readiness.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and production guidelines.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in plastic injection molding required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of injection molding machines (e.g., Arburg, Engel, Husky, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and process sheets.
- Familiarity with mold changeovers and process validation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with automation or robotics in molding processes.
Familiarity with ISO or GMP manufacturing environments.
