R&D Process Technician

Location: California

The Process Technician’s primary role is to support successful operations of Beyond Meat’s Commercialization Center (encompassing the R&D pilot plants and saleable production floor).The Process Technician will become an expert in raw material and equipment preparation, equipment operation, equipment maintenance and finished good management in support of pilot trials and saleable production runs. This role will collaborate with the R&D and Process Engineering, Maintenance and Quality team members at Beyond Meat.

** TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
** Work with Process Engineering, Maintenance and Quality team on proactively improving processes Serve as backup as needed for basic Quality team responsibilities in pilot and production runs (i.e. pre-op, recording product weights, temps, etc.)Approach all tasks in a meticulous and careful manner with little margin of error

Experience:

** 1-2 years of proven work experience in a lab or manufacturing setting  Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical assembly, machinery operation, and material preparation Strong problem solving and equipment troubleshooting skills needed Basic mathematical skills preferred
** WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
** Position requires the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods, climb, kneel, bend, and occasionally lift up to 25-50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations
