Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished units according to standardized procedures, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
- Use hand tools, small power tools, fixtures, and specialty equipment to complete assembly tasks.
- Inspect parts and assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and functionality; make adjustments as required.
- Perform rework, repair, or disassembly/reassembly of units that do not meet specifications.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when following detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
- Report defective materials or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Meet daily production goals while ensuring high standards of quality.
- Complete required documentation, including production records, checklists, and quality forms.
- Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of mechanical assembly experience or equivalent technical training.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed work instructions, diagrams, and basic engineering drawings.
- Proficiency using hand tools, small power tools, and measurement devices (e.g., calipers, gauges).
- Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Lift and carry components or assemblies typically up to 40 lbs.
$18.00 - $19.00/hour depending on experience
