As a Production Associate, you will learn a range of job responsibilities that are essential to our operations. Our teams work together performing a variety of functions to produce top quality window and door products offered in vinyl, wood, or aluminum material. Flexibility is key as you contribute to meeting production goals. We have opportunities across multiple departments, shifts, and locations.
Job ResponsibilitiesBelow illustrates some of the job responsibilities associated with our Production Association positions:
Material Prep and TrimTeam members prepare and prepmaterial for final assembly of our vinyl products.
- Apply gaskets, spline, or weatherstripping to material
- Use drills, nail guns, or miter saws to perform fitting operations
Operate various machines to move, fabricate, clean, or cut materials.
- Follow detailed processes steps to connect various sub-assemblies
- Use calipers and tape measures to take detailed measurements
Oversee the loading of glass onto the cutting tables.
- Break off excess glass once cut
- Load cut glass onto proper racks
- Load racks into tempering oven
Use their functional knowledge of product materials to apply a smooth and consistent finish to the window or door as specified by customer order.
- Apply paint using a spray gun or other powder coating equipment
- Troubleshoot finish-related issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required
Team members work with our SDL products. “SDL” stands for “simulated divided lite.” It is a type of window/door made up of a single piece of insulated glass with bars attached to the surface that give the illusion of additional depth.
- Cut parts to specified lengths
- Install muntins per work instructions
- Operate saws, hand tools, and other equipment
Complete final tasks in the production of a window or door before it is shipped.
- Review paperwork to ensure specified materials are gathered
- Place components in specified locations for assembly
