Responsibilities/Duties
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, and repair equipment.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Must be mechanically inclined
Must have basic knowledge of Industrial three phase power.
Have the ability to diagnose basic electrical problems.
Follow direction and communicate with the Maintenance department Supervisor and other maintenance techs.
Be able to read and understand basic break down of machine parts.
Ability to organize and maintain maintenance cribs and machinery manuals.
Ability to drive a Fork truck/ Hi-Low and man lift.
Must have a basic set of tools to perform your job.
Must have your own multi meter.
Must have your own welding helmet.
Basic understanding of computers.
Be flexible with schedule on occasion in order to not interfere with production.
Basic knowledge of:
Plumbing
Hydraulics
Vehicle repairs
Hi-Low, Fork lift repairs
Basic repairs on Mazak lathes, mills and manual machining equipment.
Must be able to weld and do basic metal fabrication.
Safety Glasses and steel/safety toed work boots are required.
Other PPE equipment as required.
Ear plugs in the clean up area
Manufacturing plant shop environment
Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
Exposure to elements such as odor, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals
