Machinist, CNC - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Ability to start machine, change tooling, make basic offsets.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools, work from drawings and or setup notes.
• Setup a family of CNC machines, program a particular family of machines with no assistance; examples would be CNC lathes, CNC mills, or CNC grinders.
• Must have basic knowledge of speeds and feeds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years Mazak programming experience on at least one of the following controls: T+, Fusion, MT PRO, M32, M+, Fusion, Matrix.
• At least 2 years programming CNC grinders.
• 3 years machine shop environment.
• Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating manuals, maintenance manuals and instructions.
• Ability to identify issues and take appropriate action to correct the situation, including notifying supervisor or maintenance department.
• Detailed and quality oriented.
• Must be motivated and work with a sense of urgency.
• Multi-tasking: running or operating more than one machine or task at a time.
• Microsoft Excel and Word familiarity preferred but not required.

• Safety glasses and steel/safety-toed work boots are required.
• Other PPE equipment as required.
• Ear protection in the cleanup area.

• Manufacturing plant shop environment.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Exposure to odors, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.
