What You Will Do- Implement aggressive actions to promote our safety and lean culture demonstrated by eliminating safety hazards and waste in the work areas.
- Manage staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff.
- Manage, motivate, and develop the management team.
- Oversee operations activities, ensuring that safety, schedules and performance requirements are met and system resources are used effectively.
- Drive improvements for overall operations performance and implement production safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and forge a safe and sound manufacturing environment.
- Engineering or Operations Management Degree or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through professional expertise.
- Lead cross-functional teams to optimize end-to-end production processes and improve throughput.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee daily operations across multiple production lines, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and KPIs.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Utilize ERP systems to monitor production metrics and support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and enforce quality control procedures to meet ISO and Caterpillar-specific standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address recurring quality issues.
- Partner with suppliers and internal teams to ensure consistent quality across the supply chain.
- Lead internal audits and compliance reviews to maintain certifications and regulatory standards.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement through Six Sigma and other quality initiatives.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations for production supervisors and team leads.
- Use KPIs and dashboards to track team productivity, quality, and safety performance.
- Provide coaching and development plans to enhance individual and team capabilities.
- Recognize and reward high-performing employees to boost morale and retention.
- Address performance gaps through structured improvement plans and targeted training programs.
- Develop and execute production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
- Balance labor, materials, and equipment resources to efficiently meet production goals.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of components and finished goods.
- Create contingency plans to mitigate risks related to supply disruptions or equipment failures.
- Lead strategic planning sessions to align production capabilities with long-term business objectives.
This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week at the Boonville, MO office. Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position. This position may require up to 10% travel. Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
