Position Summary

The Lead is responsible for the management of the technical challenges involved in launching a new cell and/or changing the layout of an existing cell for improved ergonomics, efficiency, safety, etc. This person will assist the Manager and/or Supervisor in that area, assign work to other employees when necessary, and work with the Engineering team to resolve technical issues on the floor.

They will also be responsible for documenting daily numbers such as the status of every instrument, process orders consumed, and units closed. Reasonable, reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential job function required for this position.

Primary Duties
  • Works across cross‑functional teams to facilitate production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Reviews production metrics to identify areas for improvement and resolve production issues promptly.
  • Maintains a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborates with team members to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Participates in training and development activities to coach and train technical skills in support of manufacturing operations.
  • Assists in various manufacturing support activities, ensuring adherence to established procedures and contributing to overall operational success.
  • Keeps track of daily production status.
  • Provides daily status reports to management as directed.
  • Coordinates the workflow in a given area and ensures technical issues are handled in a timely manner.
  • Interfaces with engineering so involvement happens as soon as possible for issue resolution.
  • Maintains workflow and consistent shipments.
  • Creates detailed cell layouts related to expansion and moves.
  • Performs all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience

This role requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent and 5+ years of technical experience with medical instruments as well as experience leading individuals and/or teams.

Working Conditions

Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
Ability to adjust or move objects up Kujnam weight of up to 50 pounds in all directions.
Domestic travel required 5% of time.
International travel required 5% of time.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is between $25.00 and $35.00. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bio Merieux’s bonus program. The salary range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country due to cost‑of‑living differences. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
