Machine Operator - Fenton, MO

Fenton, MO 63026

Pay: $28.77/hr + $0.50 shift differential (Monday‑Thursday, 2:15 pm‑12:45 am) on a 4‑day work week

• Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills
• Read blueprint or job order for product specifications and tool instructions
• Select, position and secure tool in tool holder
• Position and secure work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures
• Move controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and set specified feeds, speeds and depth of cut
• Perform 1st piece inspection (check first piece(s) per blueprints and BOMs)
• Observe operation of machine and verify conformity of machined work piece to specifications
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems

• Perform assembly‑type functions using hand or power tools
• Set up and operate 3‑ and 5‑axis CNC milling centers and CNC lathes
• Adjust, trim and fit parts to close tolerances
• Follow visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct
• Make up cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, seal finished product
• Meet efficiency rates
• Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition – 5S
• Remain flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervision
• Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE
• Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met

Solid experience with CNC tooling, controls and minor edits running CNC mill machines

GED/HS Diploma
