Manufacturing Operator

Overview

Manufacturing Operator roles involving laser machining, inspection, cleaning, and data recording in a clean room environment. Adherence to safety policies and precise process procedures is required to meet client standards.

• Set up parts to be machined on one or more lasers and manage the machining process. Start laser and monitor progress of operation.
• Follow all procedures and instructions in the PIF pertaining to the job.
• Move machined parts through cleaning and initial inspection; transfer parts to the next station for washing, drying, and inspection at the appropriate time.
• Inspect/measure machined parts for quality and accuracy using the appropriate inspection system; verify conformance to specifications and reject parts not meeting standards.
• Examine machined parts with a high-powered microscope to test for accuracy; perform required inspections at specified intervals.
• Accurately record all points in the manufacturing and testing process.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and tidy at all times.
• Operate chiller systems as required and monitor/adjust gas supplies to the laser.
• Maintain accurate records, paperwork, and data entry up-to-date.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience/
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to run several machines concurrently; ability to package parts after scribing; excellent eyesight and judgment; ability to enter data onto a computer; basic math skills; reasoning ability; physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds; good eye-to-hand coordination.
