Perform complex machining and fitting of parts, tools, and machines in support of production operations or job shop machining. Operate multiple types of machine tools such as grinders, mills, drill presses, lathes, etc.
Responsibilities- Lay out work from blueprints, sketches, and written specifications. Apply solid shop math skills.
- Operate various machine tools and perform progressive machining operations for metal parts, tools, and machines with close tolerances or high finish requirements.
- Fit and assemble as needed using machinists’ hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Program CNC machines during tooling setup, including HAAS 3-axis machining centers, Bridgeport 3-axis machining centers, Kira 3-axis drilling centers, and Okuma lathes.
- Routinely check tooling for conformance to specifications against provided prints or samples.
- Diagnose and repair die sets as required.
- Promote and adhere to safety standards, quality standards, inspections, work instructions, and ISO procedures.
- Promote LEAN training and seek opportunities for continuous improvement within daily job functions.
- Follow company policies, procedures, rules, directives, and instructions; maintain regular, predictable attendance and comply with the attendance policy; may require weekends, extended hours, overtime, and holidays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical: Balance, bend, climb, crawl, crouch, fine and gross manipulation, grasp, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to over 100 pounds, push/pull, reach, stand, and walk.
Cognitive: Plan and prioritize, analyze and solve problems, make decisions, concentrate amid distractions, exercise good judgment, perform hands-on math calculations with high accuracy, handle stress, and adapt to change.
Vision: Far and near visual acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjustable focus.
Hearing: Ability to hear and distinguish speech and alarms and other sounds in the environment.
Interpersonal & Communication: Establish and maintain working relationships with team members and management; communicate clearly in spoken and written form.
EnvironmentWork indoors in a manufacturing plant with exposure to warm temperatures, machinery noise and vibration, moving parts, and airborne metal particles.
