Materials Coordinator
W2 Contract
Salary Range: $54,100 - $66,600 per year
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized Materials Coordinator to manage purchasing, shipping & receiving, and inventory operations. Mechanical abilities to support basic facility and equipment maintenance are a strong plus.
Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate with Manufacturing to procure production materials and supplies.
- Manage delivery schedules to ensure the timely availability of materials.
- Purchase additional items as needed across the organization.
- Evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
- Assist QA with annual supplier evaluations.
- Prepare and verify outgoing shipments, including packing and labeling.
- Hand-deliver shipments to Fed Ex when required.
- Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy, and complete receiving documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production inventory.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse and other storage areas.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities (preferred).
- Knowledge of GMP environments, ideally 2-4 years of experience in pharmaceutical or related industries.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented.
- Strong time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Clear communication with supervisors regarding issues or concerns.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to perform basic internet‑based tasks.
Materials coordination, purchasing and procurement, production material planning, supplier and vendor management, vendor evaluation and sourcing, delivery and logistics coordination, shipping and receiving, outbound shipment preparation, packing and labeling, Fed Ex and courier coordination, inbound material verification, receiving documentation, inventory management, production inventory control, physical inventory counts, warehouse organization, and storage management; GMP compliance, pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment experience, quality assurance support, supplier audits and evaluations;
mechanical aptitude, basic equipment and facility maintenance, troubleshooting; independent work, multitasking and prioritization, time management, problem solving, attention to detail, organizational skills; cross‑functional collaboration, written and verbal communication, procedure adherence, Microsoft Word proficiency, Microsoft Excel proficiency, basic internet and computer skills.
