The Tag and Title Manager oversees all title and registration operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the process lifecycle. This role manages both Inbound and Outbound Territory Representatives and serves as the primary liaison between internal teams, DMV offices, and external clients. The manager is responsible for streamlining documentation workflows, minimizing compliance risks, and ensuring timely completion of all tag and title transactions.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide daily leadership to Inbound and Outbound Tag & Title Territory Representatives. Establish clear performance standards focused on quality, turnaround time, and compliance. Offer coaching, training, and performance feedback to promote professional growth and consistent execution.
Inbound Operations ManagementOversee receipt, logging, and auditing of incoming T&R paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness. Validate compliance before outbound submission and manage final quality checks on returned plates, registrations, and titles. Collaborate with the Temporary Registration Manager to confirm tag status prior to title issuance.
Outbound Operations ManagementDirect preparation and scheduling of outbound DMV packets. Approve runner assignments, coordinate field logistics, and manage escalations with DMV offices or third-party partners. Monitor documentation return and ensure full transaction closure within established timelines.
Compliance & Process ControlMaintain alignment with all federal and state T&R regulations. Conduct periodic audits to identify process gaps or compliance risks. Partner with Technology Teams and the Director of Title & Registration to enhance automation, tracking, and document security systems.
Reporting & Performance MetricsDevelop and maintain performance dashboards and KPI reports tracking accuracy, turnaround time, and compliance. Analyze trends to identify improvement opportunities and training needs. Present monthly performance summaries and recommendations to departmental leadership.
