We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our rapidly expanding team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of video surveillance system installations for new and existing client sites within the multifamily housing industry. The ideal candidate will excel at multitasking in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrate strong leadership in managing internal and external stakeholders, possess exceptional time‑management skills, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
EssentialJob Functions
- Project Planning & Assessment:
- Conduct thorough on‑site technical walks and property assessments to support internal teams and ensure functional installations.
- Edit and refine project resources, including maps and CAD markups, based on technical site assessments.
- Collaborate regularly with the sales team to confirm project scope, shot intent, and project completion timelines.
- Establish and execute strategies to mitigate risks, oversee the project environment, and update the risk‑management plan as necessary.
- Execution & Oversight:
- Manage the accountability of subcontractors and general contractors throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring installations meet Watchtower Security and client requirements.
- Coordinate with internal technical personnel on network design, configuration, and equipment procurement.
- Create and disseminate all necessary project resources, such as drawings, maps, and camera placement details, to applicable internal and external teams.
- Coordinate efficiently with ISP dispatchers to ensure timely and effective internet service installations.
- Quality Control & Client Satisfaction:
- Perform comprehensive post‑installation quality control inspections, ensuring correct shot intent, camera focus, and overall system functionality before installers depart the property.
- Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients throughout the project to ensure satisfaction and manage expectations.
- Reporting & Efficiency:
- Monitor project budgets and track progress diligently to identify efficiencies and mitigate risks.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports to stakeholders.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Project Management, a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
- 1‑3 years of proven experience in Project Management, preferably with available professional references.
- Experience with IP networking, security camera systems, and/or the multifamily housing industry preferred.
- Core Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, demonstrating exceptional time‑management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem‑solving.
- Experience in fostering positive relations and managing expectations with contractors and internal teams.
- Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the month to client sites in various locations nationwide.
- Must be able to work effectively in varying weather conditions (cold/hot).
- Ability to perform light physical work, including moving objects up to 20 pounds.
