Environmental Health and Safety Manager - Building Products - Base Salary to 130k/year - Lamar, MO

  • Our client specializes in the manufacturing of high-quality decking and railings to create an outdoor space for any and all styles.
  • They are seeking a Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead their safety and compliance initiatives. In this role, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager will partner with leadership to implement safety strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive proactive environmental and health solutions. This position involves working across functional teams, traveling to construction and manufacturing sites, and influencing the overall safety culture of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EH&S programs, policies, and strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive proactive measures to engage employees and leadership in creating a strong safety and compliance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, OSEA, and other regulatory standards through inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct training for employees and leadership on safety protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Travel to manufacturing and construction sites (up to 40%) to assess and support local safety processes.
  • Maintain accurate records for incidents, compliance activities, and self-auditing programs.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to align safety initiatives with company goals and improve risk management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an EHS management role, ideally in manufacturing or construction settings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of environmental compliance regulations, including OSHA and OSEA standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and audit industrial hygiene and safety management systems.
  • Leadership experience with a proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive cultural change.
  • Skilled in investigating incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant compliance software.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to their east coast facility.
Compensation
  • Base salary in the 110k - 130k/year range.
