Building on our past. Ready for the future

Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

As the Site Dewatering Superintendent, you are responsible for overseeing the entire site dewatering scope and directing a large group of foremen and craft personnel within the dewatering trade. You will ensure the workforce has the leadership, resources, and direction needed to deliver work safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You will plan and implement pump locations, manage mucking operations for ditches and sumps, and maintain the rhythm of dewatering activities so crews remain aligned, supported, and productive. Your leadership ensures excavation, foundation, and structural work can proceed without disruption from groundwater or surface water challenges.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide hands‑on leadership to foremen and dewatering crews, supporting day-to-day execution of site water management activities.
  • Oversee the entire site dewatering program, including system design execution, installation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Plan and implement pump locations, discharge routing, and system layouts to ensure effective water control.
  • Coordinate mucking of ditches and sumps, ensuring proper drainage flow and sediment management.
  • Develop and maintain workface planning and scheduling that aligns dewatering activities with overall project priorities and milestones.
  • Supervise field operations to ensure compliance with HSE requirements, environmental regulations, quality expectations, and productivity goals.
  • Monitor groundwater levels and system performance, adjusting pump capacity and layout as site conditions evolve.
  • Manage manpower levels, crew efficiency, and workforce balance to maintain smooth progression of work.
  • Support cost control efforts by tracking equipment utilization, fuel consumption, material needs, and identifying opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Apply company labor relations policies consistently and fairly to promote a respectful and high‑performing workplace.
  • Communicate effectively across teams—coordinating with excavation, civil, structural, and project management personnel to prevent delays.
  • Troubleshoot pumps, piping systems, discharge lines, and related equipment, driving corrective actions when needed.
  • Provide instruction, coaching, and verification of completed work to maintain high standards of performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with construction management to anticipate site challenges, weather impacts, and sequencing requirements.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
  • Approximately 12+ years of construction experience, with strong field-based leadership experience and journey‑level certification relevant to your trade preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in site dewatering operations, including pump systems, discharge management, groundwater control methods, and sediment control.
  • A strong understanding of HSE and environmental compliance practices, with the ability to model safe behaviors at all times.
  • Advanced knowledge of dewatering systems, pumps, piping, controls, and site drainage strategies.
  • Proven experience leading and developing craft personnel, including apprentices and foremen.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills to sequence dewatering activities in support of excavation and foundation work.
  • The ability to recognize, address, and resolve field challenges and conflicts with professionalism and clarity.
  • Confidence in communicating with both field teams and management, with the ability to influence alignment across disciplines.
  • A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset—grounded, practical, and focused on preventing problems before they impact…
